Our sanctuary boy for life.
When Bud first came to us, his body told a hard story. He had some of the worst matting I've ever seen, so severe I couldn't safely shave him down myself and had to call in professional reinforcements. But the mats weren't even the worst part. People had been so cruel to him, he trusted nobody.
He somehow ended up alone out in the country and was attacked by coyotes. A compassionate family got him safely contained on their property, but because he'd been attacked by wild animals and the shelter was already full, he was going to be euthanized at intake. So they called me.
Bud is a standard poodle, but when I picked him up he weighed only about 25 pounds. Skin and bones. Today he's a healthy 55+ pounds, strong and fluffy and thriving. Seeing that change still makes me emotional.
Due to his special needs, Bud lives at the Peace Love Poodles healing house for good. He's home. ✌️💜🐩
